The Luciana handbag sewing epattern by Sammy Valencia of Shamballa Designs. A curvy handbag design with some metal hardware accents give this bag design style. This bag finishes measuring approximately 13 ¼” high x 14 ½” wide x 5″ deep, metric: 34 cm high x 37 cm wide x 13 cm deep. This is an intermediate level sewing project.
Sewing Supplies:
– exterior fabric: 50 cm (1/2 yard) – lining fabric: 50 cm (1/2 yard) – contrast fabric: 50 cm (1/2 yard) – fusible interfacing (middle-weight): 50 cm (1/2 yard) – foam interfacing or fleece (middle-weight) 50 cm (1/2 yard) – coordinating thread – double-sided tape: 6 mm (1/4”) – masking tape (optional) – rivets: -+34 – glue for faux leather or fabric (depending on the material you will use for the contrast) – 1 zipper: 18 cm (7”) – 4 metal rings (gate rings 1-1/4” — 3,5 cm) (inner diameter) – 8 grommets (3/8” —- 1 cm) – optional piping cord: 95 cm/37 ½” 3 mm —- 1/8” diameter – 3 set magnetic snaps
