In 2009, I launched this website with the goal of generating a part-time income while I was homeschooling and raising a family. The primary purpose of this site is to introduce and showcase sewing patterns for various accessories, including hats, quilts of all sizes, soft textile home accessories, and an array of bags. Initially built and hosted on WordPress, PatternPile has since been migrated to a completely different platform, which may explain some outdated and weird looking pages you might come across.
Given the substantial size of this website, editing every single page manually is a time-consuming process that I am unfortunately unable to automate. Whenever possible, I strive to rectify issues such as dead links, missing content, outdated links, and descriptions. It's worth noting that what may have been a free pattern a decade ago might no longer be freely available today. If you encounter any outdated or non-existent patterns or projects that haven't been updated on PatternPile, please don't hesitate to bring them to my attention.
Currently, I am a full-time IT student, which limits the time I can dedicate to maintaining this website. Nevertheless, I do my best to keep it updated. I'm committed to featuring new projects, tutorials, and patterns and am always delighted to discover new designers. If you create patterns in any of the categories featured on PatternPile, please feel free to reach out and introduce yourself, your projects, and your shop. I'd love to hear from you!
Looking ahead, I will continue to maintain this site to the best of my abilities, considering the time available and other commitments. I hope you find PatternPile to be a useful, inspiring, and enjoyable resource to explore. Some of my own personal favorite projects are showcased below.
