Urban Traveler Tote Bag - Free Sewing Project

A free pattern to print and a step-by-step sewing tutorial from The Stitching Scientist to stitch this awesome over-sized tote. The Urban Traveler Tote Bag has a recessed zipper that closes the bag at the top. The Urban Traveler tote should measure 16″ high and about 15″ wide once completed.

Sewing Supplies:

  1. 1/2 yard fabric for front and back

  2. 1/2 yard fabric for pocket and recessed zipper

  3. 1/2 yard fabric for sides and straps

  4. 1 yard fabric for lining

  5. 2 yards of medium weight interfacing

  6. 18″ zipper

  1. 18″ piping – optional

  2. thread
