Sew a Zippered Sewing or Craft Supply Basket

A paper sewing pattern designed by TreeTopThreadsStudio for a wonderful zippered sewing basket to take the your guild meetings, sewing bees, and classes! These zippered storage baskets are also used as cosmetic cases or other craft storage solutions. Design your own pockets to hold your notions and tools. These baskets would make nice gifts for hand embroidery, crochet, or knitting enthusiasts too. An intermediate level sewing pattern.

Sewing Supplies:

1. 3/4 yard fabric for exterior

2. 3/4 yard fabric for lining

3. 1/2 yard Soft and Stable by Annie

4. small pieces of batting or fleece

5. 3 yards of 7/8″ ribbon for seam binding for basket interior

6. a few pretty buttons for decoration

7. 1 22″ purse zipper for the large basket

8. 1 18″ purse zipper for the small basket

9. 1 piece of plastic canvas for your base

10. elastic hair bands for thread holders

Approximate sizes for finished baskets:

1. Large: 9 1/2″ x 5″ x 6″

2. Small: 8 1/2″ x 5 x 3 3/4″
