This captivating and simplistic pattern is ideal for novice quilters. A surprisingly fast pattern with bold impact! The Maypole Quilt Pattern is a breathtaking and vibrant design that relies heavily on the selection of colors and fabrics. Due to it's minimal piecing, it sews together very quickly. This PDF pattern includes instructions for a queen/full – 99 ½” x 106 ½”, throw – 56 ½” x 63”, baby – 40” x 44 ½” sized quilts.

This pattern is noted with a moderate skill level not because it is overly difficult, but due to the bias edges. Bias cuts stretch more than fabric that is cut on the grain - so you have to handle these cut pieces with care. Excess stretching of the fabric cut on the bias will ripple and distort. A highly effective solution to stretching on the bias is to apply starch to all of your fabric!
