This honey of a sling holds everything and it’s easy to sew! (Great for beginners.) Modern styling and a large capacity make this one of your go-to carry-all bags!  This is a very popular bag that is perfect for everyday casual excursions.  It would make a very nice market bag or a “mom bag”!

Sewing Supplies:

Allow extra yardage for matching or centering a design on your fabric.

If using 44″ wide light to mid-weight fabric:  (ex. quilting fabric)

  1. 1 1/8 yards for the bag exterior

  2. 1 1/8 yards of a coordinating fabric for the bands and handles

  3. 1 1/8 yards of a 3rd coordinating fabric for the lining

  4. 3 1/2 yards of 20″ wide woven fusible interfacing (suggested: SF-101 by Pellon)

If using wide heavier mid-weight fabric:

  1. 5/8 yard for bag exterior

  2. 1 1/8 yards of a coordinating fabric for the bands and handles

  3. 1 1/8 yards of a 3rd coordinating fabric for the lining

  4. 3 yards of 20″ wide woven fusible interfacing  (suggested:  SF-101 by Pellon)

PLUS (for either weight fabric) you’ll need:

  1. 1/2 yard of 44″ wide fusible fleece (suggested: fusible Thermolam Plus® by Pellon®)

  2. 1 spool of coordinating all-purpose thread (suggested: Coats Dual Duty Plus®)

Finished size: 28″ tall including handles x 18″ wide
