A sewing pattern from StudioKat Designs


Today we’re featuring StudioKat Designs’ Festival Pocket Belt paper sewing pattern!  This pocket belt would be awesome for anyone needing a hands-free carrying solution.  Perfect for festival-goers, motorcyclists, athletes, MOMS, farmers, or craft market vendors. The Festival Pocket Belt is an excellent place to keep your phone, coupons, tickets, passport, and keys.  Fits phones or small tablets up to 6.9″ (175 mm) tall X 5.32″ (135 mm) wide.

Sewing Supplies:

  1. exterior fabric 1 for background panels – 1/3 yard or 1 fat quarter

  2. exterior fabric for pockets and flaps – 1/4 yard or 1 fat quarter

  3. lining – 1/2 yard

  4. contrast fabric – 1/8 yard or 1 fat eighth

  5. fusible fleece – 1/2 yard X 22′ wide

  6. fusible interfacing – 2″ X 11″ scrap 

  7. mesh fabric – one 9″ X 13.5″ piece

  8. 2 x 3/4″ invisible sew-in magnetic snap

  9. 1 x 10″ (or longer) closed bottom zipper

  10. 1 x 1″ wide side-release buckle

  11. 2 x 1 1/4″ wide D-rings

  12. 2 yards – 1″ wide webbing
