Sewing Organizer: Show Me How!

Linda Lum Debono shows you how to construct a handy sewing organizer to hold small notions and supplies! The free instructions download is here. A finished sewing organizer measures 6-3⁄4 × 10″ closed, and 13-1⁄2 × 10″ open. Watch Linda in the video below to learn how to sew your own organizer.

Suggested Sewing Supplies:

  1. 18 × 22″ fabric (fat quarter) for the exterior

  2. 8 × 10″ fabric (large pocket)

  3. 18 × 22″ fabric (fat quarter) for the lining and binding

  4. 7 × 9-1⁄2″ fabric (small pocket)

  5. 8″ square white felt (for your needle holders)

  6. 13-1⁄2 × 10″ heavyweight fusible interfacing, such as HeatnBond extra-firm fusible interfacing

  7. 18″ long piece extra-wide 1⁄2″ double-fold bias tape (ties)

  8. water-soluble marking pen or chalk

  9. pinking shears or rotary cutter
