Sew Christine's Basket Bag - Free PDF Sewing Pattern + Tutorial

This is a free PDF pattern and sewing tutorial! I loved how sturdy Daisy is sewn as well as the fresh pops of color in the fabrics chosen.  The wooden handles finish this purse and give it a polished style that you can create too. Christine takes you from A to Z with this handbag demonstrating how to sew the handle tabs, slip pockets, and a tab closure too.  An awesome intermediate sewing project. Finished Size: 26.5 cm wide at top of purse, 21 cm high, 10 cm deep at base.

Sewing Supplies:

  1. 1/2 meter fabric for exterior of bag

  2. 1/2 meter fabric for interior of bag

  3. 1/4 meter fabric for pockets

  4. Heavy sew-in interfacing

  5. Iron on heavy interfacing

  6. Toning zipper at least 13.5cm long

  7. Magnetic snap

  8. Wooden handles

  9. Piece of handbag base grid

  10. Four metal handbag feet

  11. A #14 needle
