Petals Digital Quilt Pattern from Robert Kaufman
Robert Kaufman Fabrics

A free beginner PDF quilt pattern designed by Ariga Mahmoudlou for Robert Kaufman using Kona Solid Fabrics. When you see how easy this quilt really is to sew, you will be cutting and stitching in no time. The quilt showcases a bold motif with repeated "petal" blocks arranged in rows, forming a grid that resembles stylized leaves or flowers. The straightforwardness of the blocks makes it suitable for beginners, while the overall layout offers a visually striking, contemporary design. All pieces are straight‑edge cuts—no curves, appliqué, or templates. Beginner–intermediate.

Robert Kaufman showcases versions in high‑contrast solids (greens, whites) and softer tonal palettes. You can easily swap palettes depending on your fabric stash.

Fabric recommendations: Classic Kona® cotton solids, with suggestions of colors like Emerald, Aloe, Kale, Cypress, and White.

Whether you're aiming for a bold statement quilt or a soft color wash, Petal is versatile and approachable. Finished quilt measures: 53” x 67”.
