Learn How to Sew a Chicken Basket for Eggs or Fruit – A Free Step-by-Step Video Tutorial

  • a few seconds ago
  • 1 min read

This FREE video provides a step-by-step tutorial on how to sew a chicken-shaped basket. The basket can be used for storing eggs, fruits, or other food items, making it a practical and decorative addition to any kitchen!

This FREE sewing tutorial from the talented Estadistica Datos del Mundo covers these steps:

  • Downloading and cutting the pattern, ensuring to leave a 1 cm allowance around the outlines.

  • Preparing fabric pieces from cotton and thin batting.

  • Sewing and ironing fabric pieces with zigzag stitching and right sides together. ZigZag stitching helps to keep the fabric from unraveling.

  • Assembling the chicken shape by sewing along lines, cutting excess batting, making your relief cuts on curved parts, and turning the fabric.

  • Creating the basket base by marking the center and joining seams. This is important.

  • Finishing touches include attaching buttons for the eyes. You can also hand embroider them.
