Ch-ch-ch-changes...

creative digital work space

What began in 2009 as a collection of DIY bag patterns and tutorials is evolving into something more meaningful—a platform focused on the people behind the work. Patterns don’t exist in isolation; they are shaped by experience, skill, culture, and personal vision.

Over the years, PatternPile has featured thousands of DIY projects and the creators behind them—people who generously share their craft with others. But the digital landscape is changing. As AI reshapes how digital content, including patterns, videos, and tutorials are created, shared, and discovered, the old model is no longer sustainable.

This transition is significant, especially given the limited notice around recent and necessary technical changes, including updates to most existing affiliate links.

This shift reflects that reality—and puts the focus where it now belongs: on the creators themselves.

Going forward, we’ll be putting makers first—highlighting their projects, shops, skills, and creative styles. We’ll begin by featuring some of the creators behind the most loved projects, from quilt and bag patterns to crochet and knitting designs. The focus is shifting to the maker—what they create, how they work, and what they bring to you.

We hope you’ll follow along and meet (and re-meet) some of the most creative minds we’ve discovered—and find new makers along the way.

Our most active social channel is Pinterest, currently with 248K followers and over 564K monthly views. It, too, will be refreshed and refined as part of this transition. We appreciate your patience—and when it’s ready, your support through sharing, following, and engaging.

We plan to take our time and do this right. We are always looking for new makers who are building their presence online. If you know of someone who should be featured, please share their profile using the contact form.

Our posts within all project categories will remain the same, an archive is available but will not be re-coded or rewritten. It all will remain as is for now.

Thank you for taking the time to visit—we hope to see you again soon!

Please note that PatternPile does not sell, host, or distribute sewing patterns directly. We feature and promote patterns and projects from independent designers, bloggers, and pattern shops. Each post includes a link to the original source where the pattern is available.

If you experience any issues with downloading, purchasing, or accessing a pattern, please contact the original designer or shop directly, as PatternPile does not manage their files or customer support.

Thank you for supporting independent creators!
