Linda Turner Griepentrog and Make it Coats shares a free PDF download with instructions for preparing the shirt front, creating the pattern, cutting, assembling, and finishing the Shirt Tale Tote. A stabilizer such as fusible foam can offer more structure to this bag. This free sewing project is suitable for most experienced or confident beginner sewers. The finished measurements for bags stitched from garments are always approximate, as it depends on your shirt size. The Shirt Tale Tote in the sample photo above measures 12″ tall x 15″ wide x 4″ deep, excluding the handles. Mix and match with denim or vinyl!
