Layer Cake Wallets

A free sewing tutorial by Stacey Cary for Moda fabrics to create a basic bi-fold wallet using orphaned pieces from a layer cake, (or simply 10″ x 10″ squares). A nice sewing project for using up fabrics from your scrap bin too.

Sewing Supplies:

1. 2 exterior fabric pieces 4 ½” x 8 ¼”

2. 2 interior fabric pieces 4 ½” x 8 ¼”

3. 1 fusible fleece 3 ½” x 7 ¾”

4. 4 décor bond interfacing 4 ½” x 8 ¼”

5. 1 strap (exterior fabric) 6 ½” x 4 ½”

6. 1 fusible fleece (for strap) 6 ½” x 1 ½”

7. a snap (or some Velcro)

for debit/credit card slots:

1. 2 interior fabric pieces 5″ x 4 ½”

2. 2 exterior fabric pieces 6″ x 4 ½”

3. 2 interior fabric pieces 7″ x 4 ½”
