The Sedgeford Bag

The Sedgeford Bag sewing pattern
CharliesAunt

The simple clean lines of this handbag design by Emma Brennan of Charlie’s Aunt Designs are similar to the styles seen during the 1940’s with a modern asymmetrical twist. The Sedgeford Bag is created with two contrasting or coordinating fabrics such as tweed paired with corduroy or velvet for autumn and winter, or heavy cotton canvas, and patterned linen for spring and summer. The flap template doubles as an interior patch pocket. The approximate finished dimensions are: 9″ (23 cm) high, 14″ (36 cm) wide, 2″ (5 cm) deep. Strap length is approximately 40″ (102 cm).
