The Lotus handbag is a unique medium-size bag from Blue Calla Patterns with two wonderfully large exterior side pockets with magnetic snap closures and one large middle zippered compartment. You can use a combination of home decor, vinyl, or faux leather, quilting fabric as you wish! The Lotus handbag also has two shorter double straps which are designed to be carried over one arm. Prefer a shoulder bag? Simply lengthen your Lotus handbag straps! Sewing Supplies:

  • 3/4 yard of exterior fabric
  • 1/4 to 1/2 yard of vinyl or faux leather depending on width
  • 1 yard quilting cotton fabric for lining
  • 1/2 yard woven fusible interfacing (SF 101)
  • 1 yard fusible fleece
  • 1/2 yard lightweight fusible interfacing
  • Peltex (or equivalent) 13” wide x 4.75” high (optional)
  • (1) 14” zipper
  • (1) 8” zipper
  • (4) 1” O-rings
  • (2) 14 mm magnetic snaps
  • double-sided tape
