Sewing Inspiration from Cathy Corcella, Anna Müller, & Monika Jakubek!
Secure your cards, cash and checks in this sensible tri-fold wallet and checkbook cover that you can sew yourself with this free tutorial. Designed by Cathy Corcella, this wallet offers a snap-tight closure, shopping loyalty card sleeves, a zippered compartment, and more. The finished wallet measures 7-3/4″ x 12″ (open), and 4″ x 7-3/4″ (folded). This is a nice gift idea too. Fat quarter friendly, scrap-busting, sewing projects always make me happy!

A Sewing Machine with Custom CMYK-Colored Thread:
This design project by designers Monika Jakubek and Anna Müller named “Leitfaden”. Do you work with a lot of hard-to-match fabric perhaps found in thrift shops? This very interesting sewing machine should interest you. Using a swatch of the fabric to use to match colors, The Leitfaden Sewing Machine concept dyes the white thread using CMYK color process, a little like a desktop printer would. You would never have to stop a sewing project because you run out of the right thread color. Unfortunately I am unable to find any information about this sewing machine being produced. I REALLY hope it is a possibility. Check out the review here.
