Bangle Buddie Bag

A sewing pattern by mail from Studiokat Designs for a wonderful bag with great features giving it a versatile design!  A convertible zippered backpack purse.  The stunning fabric used in the sample bag in the photo above is a border print designed by Jason Yenter for In The Beginning Fabrics from the “Dreamscapes II” collection Two roomy,  zippered, and completely separate storage compartments, sized right for virtually any wallet. All it takes is an extra o-ring & an extra strap to easily convert your Bangle Buddie into a mini backpack!

Sewing Supplies:

  1. exterior fabric – 1/2 yard (for bag front, back, strap + handle

  2. contrast  fabric – 1/4 yard (for bag sides + base)

  3. lining fabric – 5/8 yard (for bag interior)

  4. fusible interfacing – 1/2 yard @ 20″ wide (StudioKat Designs recommends CraftFuse by Pellon)

  5. foam stabilizer– one 8.5″ by 31″ piece

  6. 2 each – 22″ (or longer) purse zipper

  7. 1 each – 1″ wide slide buckle

  8. 2 each – 1″ wide D-rings

  9. 2 each – 1″ wide swivel hooks

  10. 91 inches – 1″ wide cotton webbing

  11. 90 inches – 1 3/8″ wide double fold bias tape (we recommend making your own (instructions in pattern)

  12. 9 inches- 3/4″ fold-over elastic (bias tape can be substituted)

  13. 13 inches- 3/4″ wide FLAT elastic
